- Contact Data: Address, email, phone number
- Parent/Guardian Info: Name, contact details, relationship to participant
- Programme Data: Classes attended, progress reports, feedback
- Payment Details: For optional services
- Marketing Preferences
- Technical Data: IP address, browser type, device IDs when you access our website or learning tools (e.g., Raspberry Pi projects site)
- Special Category Data: Health or accessibility needs to support learner safety and participation — only collected with consent or where legally required

- Directly from you: When you register, complete forms, contact us, or provide feedback
- Automatically: Through cookies and similar tech when you use our websites or learning platforms

Sharing Your Data
We only share the data necessary to support your experience and meet legal obligations:
- Tutors, mentors, and volunteers delivering sessions
- Local authorities or funders (e.g. HAF scheme reporting)
- Trusted IT, email, and payment service providers
- Law enforcement or safeguarding authorities when required
We never sell your data. All service providers are under strict agreements to keep your data secure and confidential.
International Data Transfers
If any of our service providers are based outside the UK or EEA (e.g. cloud storage providers), we ensure your data is protected through approved safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses. You can contact us to learn more.
How Long We Keep Your Data
We retain personal data only as long as necessary:
- Programme records: 3 years after completion
- Safeguarding records: 7 years or more if required
- Financial records: 6 years (for tax purposes)
- Marketing consents: Until you opt out
Once the retention period ends, we securely delete or anonymise your data.
Your Rights
Under the UK GDPR (and EU GDPR where applicable), you have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Correct inaccurate information
- Request deletion (“right to be forgotten”)
- Restrict or object to data processing
- Transfer your data to another provider

Children’s Data
We only collect children’s data with parental consent. All team members working with children are trained and DBS-checked, following laws such as the Children Act 2004.
