TES Winter Holiday Event: Ensuring Your Safety and Enjoyment

As we prepare to welcome our community to the West End Community Center for our joyful Winter Holiday Celebration, we want to share the comprehensive safety measures we’re putting in place to ensure everyone can enjoy the festivities with peace of mind. Whether you’re coming for the games, delicious meals, or incredible entertainment, rest assured that your safety is our top priority.
Here are the safety measures and precautions we’ve put in place to create a secure and enjoyable environment for everyone:
Venue Safety and Capacity Management
The West End Community Center in Mackworth Rd, Derby, DE22 3BL, has been carefully chosen to host the event due to its spacious and accessible facilities. We’ll be carefully managing attendance numbers to prevent overcrowding, ensuring comfortable space for everyone to enjoy the games, entertainment, and meals. Multiple clearly marked exits will be maintained clear throughout the event.
Hygienic Food and Beverage Handling
Our delicious meals will be prepared and served following strict food safety guidelines. We’ll have clear labeling of all food items, including common allergens, and our catering team will be briefed on handling dietary requirements. Hand sanitizing stations will be available throughout the dining area.
Family-Friendly Environment
With activities planned for all ages, we’re creating designated spaces for different age groups to ensure everyone can participate safely. Our games and entertainment areas will be properly supervised, with age-appropriate activities clearly marked. The venue will be well-lit and monitored throughout the event. We also like to add that parents are encouraged to label belongings and stay nearby while their children enjoy the activities.
Emergency Services on Standby
Our event team includes trained first aid responders, and a first aid station will be readily accessible. All staff members will be wearing clearly identifiable badges and will be briefed on emergency procedures.
To handle any unforeseen circumstances:
- First aid kits and trained personnel will be available at the venue.
- Emergency contacts for local health and safety services have been coordinated, ensuring quick action if needed.

Cleanliness and Sanitation
While maintaining the warm community atmosphere of our celebration, we’ll have hand sanitizing stations throughout the venue and ensure good ventilation. Anyone feeling unwell is encouraged to stay home and join us at future events.
The venue will be cleaned and sanitized thoroughly before, during, and after the event: restrooms will be cleaned regularly throughout the event and hand sanitizing stations will be placed at key locations for attendees to use freely.
Weather Considerations
As a winter event, we’ve ensured proper heating within the venue and covered access points to protect against December weather. The venue’s parking area and walkways will be properly maintained and cleared of any ice or snow if necessary.
Easy Communication
Our event staff will be easily identifiable and ready to assist with any concerns. The contact number (07438550304) will be monitored throughout the event for immediate response to any issues.
We want everyone attending our Winter Holiday Celebration on December 29th to focus on enjoying the entertainment, games, and community spirit, knowing that their safety and comfort are our top priorities. We look forward to celebrating safely with you!
